“You only look crazy until it works, then you’re a genius!” – Kermit the Frog 🐸🐸🐸
So this happened a couple of weeks ago.
I received an email from GoDaddy.
The email was an opportunity to take a survey.
And if you are one of the first twenty people.
Who fill it out.
You win a $20.00 Amazon Gift Card.
And who doesn’t want a $20.00 Amazon Gift Card.
So I filled it out.
It wasn’t long.
And it only took me about five minutes.
To complete it.
But then. “How can I make it?” (6.20.2023)
As I finished the survey.
And went to hit the ‘submit’ button.
I got an error message.
So, me being me.
I redid the survey.
And guess what happened?
Yup!
The same exact thing.
So, the next thing I did.
Was email GoDaddy.
So they can fix the problem.
Only, that’s not what happened.
They sent me an email saying do two things.
Paste the survey link in another page.
And/Or.
Do that clear cookies move.
That companies LOVE.
To tell you to do.
When their sh*t.
Isn’t working.
But since I wanted that Amazon Gift Card.
I did both.
And as no surprise to anyone.
Including me.
It still didn’t work.
So you know what I did next?
Yup!
I emailed GoDaddy once again.
And gave them the run-down on what I did.
At this point.
They were like.
We’re going to have to give this to the engineers.
And have them fix the link.
And then they said they would get back to me.
So I was like, cool.
I believe it was a couple of days later.
GoDaddy sent me another email.
This one included a new link (that’s what they said).
They actually said the engineers just sent them this NEW link.
To the survey.
And would I please fill it out.
And I said: absolutely!
So I clicked on the link.
And you are not going to believe what happened?
An error code came up IMMEDIATELY.
LIKE IMMEDIATELY.
And all I could think was:
“Who are the engineers at GoDaddy?”
So, once again I went back to GoDaddy.
With my new update.
I’m sure I was like the last person.
They wanted to hear from.
Anyway, I told them my story.
Error code and all.
They said they would get back to me.
And the very next day.
I received an email from GoDaddy.
With a $10.00 Amazon Gift Card.
For my efforts.
Ding. Ding. Ding.
Mission accomplished!
So what’s the point of the blog?
That I received a $10.00 Amazon Gift Card?
No.
The point of the blog is this:
That’s how you treat your customers if you want them to keep coming back!
