I’ve said this before.

When I first started.

My NineFrogs business back in 2012.

I knew two things;

I wanted my business.

To be about Fashion and Personal Development.

And I wanted.

To be internationally successful (getting there).

Other than that, I was clueless.

Like, I truly didn’t know what do to.

But that fact didn’t stop me.

I tried a lot of different things.

Knocked on A LOT of doors.

Spent a lot of time at the gym.

Thinking about WHAT exactly should I be doing?

See, if you want to be amazing?

And have an amazing business?

You have to start from scratch.

Plants those seeds.

Water them.

And wait.

And you need to do this.

Over, and over, and over.

Consistency needs to be your best friend!

Yeah, bet no one told you that.

There you go!

I walked on that treadmill.

Everyday thinking.

What’s my next move?

What services am I going to offer?

How am I going to help people?

Who’s going to be my customer?

How much do I charge?

Although I had never owned.

My own business before.

I certainly had plenty of business.

Experience (well over 20+ years).

Here’s the thing.

You have to REALLY want it.

I mean.

Like REALLY WANT IT.

There you go!

And then the question of what to name it?

I had no clue?

This was 2011, and I was new to the internet.

Turns out.

Every name I wanted was taken.

Long story short.

And I’ve written several blogs.

On how I came up with the name.

But I picked NineFrogs.

And the rest, as they say, is history.

I wish I knew back then.

Here’s the thing.

There is no blueprint for HOW to do it. 👈👈👈

Sure, there are a million books.

Blogs and experts out there.

On building a successful business.

Add in all the podcasts.

And the thousands of so-called ‘business experts’ out there.

Only too willing to take your money.

Trying to tell you.

How YOU should run YOUR business.

I hate to break it to you.

But.

The bottom line is.

YOU have to figure out YOUR business.

YOU have to figure out.

What’s going to work for you.

And what is not?

It’s your path.

And no one else’s.

There is a difference between asking someone’s advice.

VS asking someone HOW TO DO IT?👈👈👈

Too many people.

Want someone else.

To tell them what exactly.

What they should be doing in THEIR business.

You know.

So they can be millionaires overnight!

Yeah, I read that a lot.

As if.

There is some magic potion.

Like, if you do X Y Z…you’ll be a millionaire.

In a year!

There you go!

Side note: it truly makes me laugh.

I worked at Cablevision for over 20+ years.

And not one person.

EVER asked me if I was a millionaire yet?

YET, a few years after I launched my business.

I had people asking me, ‘so Patti, are you a millionaire yet?’

P.S. – I never once said to ANYBODY I was going to be a millionaire in three years!

Also, people suck!

What I can tell you?

From my 7+ years experience.

As being a business owner?

That I haven’t met anyone.

Who was a millionaire after three years in business.

When I first started out.

I read something from Mike Dooley (The Universe guy) where he said:

“Take baby steps, everyday. And keep showing up, everyday!“

And, most importantly.

He said, ‘stop worrying about the cursed how’s.”

That’s right.

Stop worrying about HOW it’s going to happen.

Just show up, everyday.

And give it your best.

AND, Never Give Up!

That’s really what it boils down to.

Finding your own path.

And let me tell you.

Finding your path is one thing.

Staying on it, another.

There are a lot of ups and downs.

There’s also a lot of being broke, scared, and anxious.

And yet, we still forge ahead✈✈✈

We keep pushing forward.

Knowing, that eventually.

We will get to where we want to be.

Not knowing exactly.

How long that is going to take us!

Remember the line:

Never let them see you sweat!

That’s it.

Remain cool, calm and collected!

You have to stop asking this question?

How is it going to work?

Because we don’t really know, do we?

Forget the “how’s”.

Seriously.

Do you think Bill Gates, Warren Buffett or Oprah?

Had any idea how they were going to be so successful?

Absolutely not!

That they would all wind up being billionaires?

No!

They were just doing what they loved.

And following their passion.

The success and money followed.

That’s how it works!

Your job is to put everything you have.

Into what you are working on.

And do your best EVERYDAY.

Leave the how to’s to The Universe✨✨✨

Spread your magic.

Put joy into the world.

I don’t care what you do.

Because whatever it is.

You can help people.

And in the process.

You help yourself.

What no one tells you.

You will fall more times.

Than you ever dreamed.

And then you will fall again.

Actually, you will most likely fall many times over.

I have been learning lately.

Detachment!

I know where I’m going.

And I know what I want.

For myself going forward.

And I know enough to know.

That as part of that.

I’m going to have to.

Let go of some things.

And know what?

I’m perfectly okay with that!

As the saying goes.

‘you have to be willing to give up the good to go for the great.’

My ladder was most definitely not.

Where it should have been.

Just make sure the ladder.

You are climbing.

Is one that is going to get you.

Where you want to be.

Don’t waste a life-time.

Do I regret it took me over twenty years to find it?

Absolutely not!

I believe it was all part of the journey.

Every experience I’ve gone through.

All the people I’ve met along the way.

Did I mention I met Brad Pitt at work?

It was all part of the process.
