Who’s gonna know?
Over the years.
I have been asked mulitiple times.
What made me start my business?
First answer.
Because I was so tired.
Of listening to people.
Who thought they were smarter than me.
But in fact, knew less than I did.
And I was so sick.
Of them telling me what to do.
Second answer.
Because I knew I’d be good at it.
No matter what business I’d pick.
Third answer.
Because I was ready to push myself into greatness!
Let me be clear.
I didn’t chose this path.
This path chose me.
Like Frodo in “Lord of the rings”.
Seriously!
Because any sane person.
Would have jumped ship.
Years ago.
Trust me.
The Entrepreneurial life is not.
For the faint of heart!

Don’t get me wrong.
There have been plenty of times.
When I was ready to throw in the towel.
Times when it seemed.
Like.
Absolutely NOTHING was happening.
But then.
I would dust myself off.
And get back at it.
Because, this is what I know.
I was born to do this.
It just took me a long time.
To figure that out.
And you know what?
That’s ok.
Because once I realized that.
There has been no stopping me!
See.
When I started this journey.
I knew it wasn’t going to be easy.
Although.
I had NO idea.
It would actually be this hard.
Like.
Sincerely hard.
But.
So worth it.
I can’t tell you.
The satisfaction.
I get from.
Doing what I do!
Because, I have said.
I was born to do this.
Everything I have done before this.
Was simply practice.
Because everything I have learned prior to this.
Has helped me along the way!
Listen, to be successful.
You HAVE to think it’s possible.
That’s something a lot of people.
Don’t consider.
You can’t.
Be walking around.
Thinking: HOW can this happen?
No.
Leave ‘HOW’ out of the equation.
As Mike Dooley would say.
Your job.
Is to keep.
Doing what you’re doing.
And.
Just keep getting.
Better at it!
Because, you will never get there.
If you give up!
So, you may ask?
After all these years.
What motivates me?
It’s funny.
I don’t even have think about that!
It just is.
Now, I’m not going to lie.
I am not one of those people.
Who get up at 5:00am.
Ready to go.
Oh no.
I am a far cry from that.
No, I am more of a 9-10:00am.
Kind of person.
It takes me some time to get out of bed.
Because I know once I’m up.
I’m up and running.
And quite honestly.
Some days it’s exhausting just to think about it.
But, I do it anyway!
That’s what this whole entrepreneurial thing.
Is all about.
People also ask me?
How do I keep coming up with new ideas?
Honestly.
They just come to me.
But here’s the thing.
Some ideas work.
And.
Some ideas don’t.
And, that’s ok.
It’s all part of the process as they say.
Want to grow?
Don’t be afraid to fail.
And I’ve failed plenty.
See.
When you’re doing what you love.
It doesn’t feel like ‘work’.
And if it does?
Either.
Change the way you do it.
Or.
Find something else.
The minute I do anything.
And.
It starts to feel like ‘work’.
I know I shouldn’t be doing it.
Everything should just flow.
As Gary V always say.
“You know you’re in your flow.
When, well, it just flows.”
I don’t know how to really explain it.
Other than to say.
If whatever you are doing.
Doesn’t light you up.
Stop doing it.
And.
Find another way to do it.
Because, the whole point.
Of having your own thing.
Is to do the things you love!
Want to be great?
Like, really great?
BELIEVE you are great!
Like really GREAT!
Remember.
It’s all about mindset.
I’ve written about this countless times.

It’s all in HOW you think.
Like the saying goes?
“If you think you can or you think you can’t.
You’re right!”
So.
Think yourself to GREATNESS!
Think positive.
Think love.
Think success.
Think possibilities.
Think confidence.
Think determination.
Think “I Can Do This!”
Think “I AM GREAT!”
I’ve learned along the way.
Over these precious years.
That “A woman who knows.
What she brings to the table.
Is not afraid to eat alone.”
Yes, I adapted that attitude.
Years ago.
That, after being turned away.
From many a table.
That I desperately wanted a seat.
So, one day I made a decision.
And, I made my OWN table.
Now, people ask me.
If they can take a seat?
See how that works?
That’s what you call.
Taking your power back.
And I highly suggest.
You start doing the same today.
Not because they don’t deserve it.
More because you do!
See.
The longer you do something.
Like I have been doing.
You figure out.
Who deserves your respect.
And.
Who doesn’t.

Seriously, who wants to be average?
Remember?
You’re here for a reason.
You are HERE.
In THIS time.
In THIS place.
And, it’s not a coincidence.
So, what are you going to do.
That’s going to make a difference?
Think about that?
Oh yes.
THIS.
Sh*t IS hard.
Do it anyway!
It’s true, sh*t is hard.
So figure it out.
And I know what you’re going to say:
“It’s too hard Patti, I can’t.”
Actually, you can.
Do you know how many things.
I have figured out over the last ten years?
Plenty!
Things I had NO idea.
How to do?
Seriously.
I actually amaze myself some days.
With the amount of sh*t.
I have figured out how to do.
Trust me when I tell you.
If I can do it.
So can you!
“Who is around you and who is down for you.
Are two totally different things.”
Remember that!
EVERYONE isn’t your person.
It’s okay to be selective.
Because remember.
The people around you.
Will either lift you higher.
Or.
Weigh you down.
Trust me, I know!
I love this!
That’s what you call.
A winning attitude!

You just gotta walk in.
And let them know.
You could take them.
Without batting an eyelash.
Works for me.
The point is.
If you want to be GREAT!
You have to be willing.
So do whatever it takes!
