You know when you’ve been on your computer too long and it just freezes?
Hitting control, alt, delete…and still nothing.
Your patience slowly starting to melt away.
You stare pensively at the screen, waiting for “something” to happen.
Ugh, work damnit!
What is going on you scream in your head?
Work already, PLEASE?
And still, NOTHING.
So, you are forced to do the thing we all hate to do.
Turn everything off.
Give it a few minutes and try again.
How many times have you had to do that in your lifetime?
The age old question.
Turns out, life is like that as well.
Sometimes, when we are trying SO hard to make something happen.
Maybe you’re working on a dream?
Starting a business?
Trying to lose weight?
You name it.
And like, you are giving it EVERYTHING you got.
From every angle no less.
And yet, NOTHING.
You get frustrated.
Maybe even shout out: “That’s it, I quit.”
I can’t do this!
It’s just NOT working!
What you do, is walk away from the situation!
Just like when your computer freezes.
You step away.
You walk AWAY from the situation and “REFRESH”
Working on a dream, or whatever it is you are trying to make happen!
Trying to make anything come to fruition is NOT EASY.
There is a famous quote from Tom Hanks that I absolutely love:
“If it wasn’t hard, everyone would do it. It’s the HARD that makes it GREAT.”
So, the next time you find yourself frustrated over a situation,.
No matter what it is, simply step away.
If you are constantly staring at the same four walls.
Seeing the same people.
Looking at the same shiz on your phone.
You are going to keep getting the same results!
It’s called, YOU ARE IN NEED OF some inspiration!
WE ALL NEED to recharge our batteries!
So, on those days when you are ready to hit your head against the wall.
Not knowing How to start again?
Because things aren’t quite going your way.
Talk a walk outside.
Go see a movie.
Have lunch with a good friend.
Take a vacation, even if it’s for the day.
Hop in your car and go somewhere you’ve always wanted to go only never made the time.
Go to a networking meeting and talk to strangers.
You never know what ideas can come from it
If you live near the ocean, go to the beach.
There is NOTHING better in this world than to breath in that ocean air.
Sure cure for anything that is bothering you.
Go on a mental vacation and read a trashy novel.
Read one of those magazines that you have been collecting only never had time to get to.
Take a trip to your local library and grab a copy of “How to Win Friends and Influence People” by Dale Carnegie.
If you’ve never read it, get it now.
It is a MUST-read for everyone on this planet.
Another good book and quick read, “Who Moved My Cheese”.
Another book everyone should read!

Be good to yourself.
Take care of YOU!
We tend to beat ourselves up when we are frustrated, overwhelmed or anxious.
That is exactly the time we need to be EXTRA good to ourselves.
Good thoughts come when we are FEELING GOOD about ourselves!
How do I start?
Baby steps every day to where you want to get to.
It doesn’t happen overnight.
That’s why they call it a process.
The thing is.
YOU HAVE TO START!
