If, Patricia Bokowski, when you lay your head upon your pillow tonight, you could choose to slip into a dream dimension where time would literally expand, so much so that you could live out an entire other lifetime within it as a person “designed” by you from head to toe, even choosing your name and who your parents would be. 
Where every single day you’d be pushed on to greatness, every single challenge would invite you to become more, and all of your dreams could come true.

Where, no matter how things may ever seem, you’d be bathed in love, surrounded by friends, safe and sound in your very own bed.
And where, upon waking, all that you loved and learned in that lifetime would remain with you forever, and all that scared and threatened you would only have prepared you for happily-ever-after.
Would you choose to go there, Patricia Bokowski? On the condition that it felt like your “real life”?
Of course you would. I know you.
Which begs the questions, “How do you know, then, this isn’t that dream? And, who, exactly, is now dreaming they’re you?”

Marketing: Marketing refers to activities a company undertakes to promote the buying or selling of a product or service. In 2017, The New York Times described it as “the art of telling stories so enthralling that people lose track of their wallets. It is one of the primary components of business management and commerce.

When thinking about the name of your business.

Marketing your business should be your top concern.

Why?

Because that’s how people are going to find you!

And I know what sounds pretty simplistic.

Only.

I don’t think many business owners take that into account.

When picking a name for their business.

After doing quite a bit of research on marketing my business.

The one thing that really stood out for me was how important it was to have a great business name.

It was 2011 when I was looking for a name for my new Image Consulting business.

Read some really great books and all of them said the same thing, get a “catchy” name.

At the time.

I already had a few names in mind (needless to say, those didn’t work out). 

And then this happened!

Fate + opportunity meet = NineFrogs

Here’s an example of what I’m talking about.

Let’s say this is the name of a Bob’s new business website:

BobsTireandRescueGarbageandTowTruck.com

Wow!

That is one long name.

If I were Bob, I’d think of a shorter name for my business.

Maybe…

BobsBigTire&Tow

Has a much better ring to it.

It’s a name people will remember.

And.

That is what you want.

A name that people will remember.

Do you think people remember NineFrogs?

Yes they do.

Because they will tell me all the time 🙂

Here’s another mistake Bob made, (and he’s not alone).

I see businesses do this all the time!

Bad enough Bob chose that really long asf name.

Now, he’s not even being consistent.

That was the name on his website.

Now he goes on Instagram and opens an account with THIS name:

BobbysTireandRescue 👈👈👈

Notice the difference?

It’s an entirely different name!

Don’t do that!

You need to be consistent in your marketing.

My blog?

My business name is the same: NineFrogs.

Spelled just like that.

Consistent!

Do you know?

What are you selling?

How do you think people feel when they hear your business name?

Are they happy?

Or.

Confused?

Make sure your audience knows which.

The million dollar question!

How did you come up with the name NineFrogs?

To put it simply (because it’s a long story).

FROGS are lucky in Feng Shui 🐸🐸🐸

AND.

I’ve always been into numerology and how numbers affect our lives. 

One Frog, two frogs…NineFrogs! 🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸

So began the Magic of NineFrogs ✨✨✨

I knew at that moment I was onto something BIG👊👊👊

As soon as it said, accepted!

It was on!

And there was no looking back!

NineFrogs was set upon the world!

Now think about your business.

If you have one already.

Are you being consistent with your name across social media?

Your promotional materials?

Your business card?

Are you making it easy for people to find you?

And yes, I know I keep asking that.

It’s because it’s so freaking important.

Here’s another pet-peeve I have.

And if you haven’t picked your name yet.

I hope this will give you some food-for-thought.

Business cards:

  1. Make sure everything on it legible. Not in some microscopic print that you need a magnifying glass to read.
  2. For the love of God, do not pick some long asf name like:

Nancy’sNailsandSheDoesHairTooOnSaturdaysOnly@gmail.com

Instead try something like:

NancysNails@gmail.com

See the difference?

The end game is making as easy as possible for people to reach you.

Find you and most importantly, do business with you!✔✔✔
