“How can I start?” (7.25.15)

Detours, challenges, and crisis, Patricia Bokowski,
are simply covers for miracles that had no other way of reaching you.

It’s all good,
The Universe / Cupcakes, Ding Dongs, and Ho-Hos, Patricia Bokowski,
are just plain old miracles. / “How can I start?” / www.tut.com

“You don’t have to be great to start.

But you have to start to be great!”

You know.

When you’ve been sitting at your computer.

Way too long and it just freezes?

You hit control, alt, delete…

And nothing happens.

You sit there staring at the computer screen.

Pensively waiting for “something” to happen.

Only NOTHING.

Ugh.

Please work you say in your head.

WTF?

Work already, PLEASE?

And still, NOTHING.

So, you are forced to do the thing we all hate to do.

Turn everything off.

Unplug it.

And wait.

Give it a few minutes and try again.

How many times.

Have you had to do that?

Probably more times than you can count.

Turns out, life is like that as well.

Sometimes.

When we are trying SO hard.

To make something happen.

Maybe you’re working on a dream?

Starting a business?

Trying to lose weight?

You name it.

And like.

You are giving it EVERYTHING you got.

From every angle no less.

And yet, NOTHING.

ZERO.

You get frustrated.

Angry.

Sad.

You question yourself.

Like WTH?

I’m trying everything.

Universe, please?

Here’s the thing:

And I can tell you this.

Because it is a lesson.

I have learned the hard way!

You can’t keep doing the same thing.

And think you are going to get a different result.

But still.

I get it.

You’re frustrated.

Maybe you shout out: “That’s it, I quit.

I can’t do this!

It’s just NOT working!”

Only don’t do that.

What you do is.

Take a break from the situation!

Just like when your computer freezes.

You step away.

You walk AWAY from the situation and hit “REFRESH”

Working on a dream?

Or whatever it is you are trying to make happen!

Trying to make anything come to fruition is NOT EASY.

There is a famous quote from Tom Hanks that I absolutely love:

“If it wasn’t hard, everyone would do it. It’s the HARD that makes it GREAT.”

So, the next time you find yourself frustrated over a situation.

No matter what it is.

Simply step away.

If you are constantly staring at the same four walls.

Seeing the same people.

Looking at the same sh*t on your phone.

You are going to keep getting the same results!

It’s called.

YOU ARE IN NEED OF some inspiration!

WE ALL NEED to recharge our batteries!

So, on those days.

When you are ready to hit your head against the wall.

Not knowing where to turn?

Because things aren’t quite going your way.

Talk a walk outside.

Go see a movie.

Have lunch with a good friend.

Take a vacation, even if it’s for the day.

Hop in your car.

And go somewhere.

You’ve always wanted to go.

Only never made the time.

Go to a networking meeting.

And talk to strangers.

Shop at your local Dollar Store or TJMaxx.

My two favorite stores.

Both make me forget my troubles.

You never know where you will find inspiration!

If you live near the ocean, go to the beach.

There is NOTHING better.

In this world than to breath in that ocean air.

Sure cure for anything that is bothering you.

Go on a mental vacation.

And read a trashy novel.

Read one of those magazines.

That you have been collecting.

Only never had time to get to.

Take a trip to your local library.

And grab a copy of  “How to Win Friends and Influence People” by Dale Carnegie.

If you’ve never read it, get it now.

It is a MUST-read for everyone on this planet.

Another good book and quick read, “Who Moved My Cheese”.

Another book everyone should read!

Sign-up for a class or seminar.

Even better if it is something you know nothing about.

AND last but not least and probably the most important:

Be good to yourself.

Take care of YOU! NineFrogs Daily QUOTE OF THE DAY:

We tend to beat ourselves up.

When we are frustrated, overwhelmed or anxious.

That is exactly the time.

We need to be EXTRA good to ourselves.

Good thoughts come.

When we are FEELING GOOD about ourselves!

Here’s the thing.

Take baby steps.

Baby steps every day.

To where you want to get to.

It doesn’t happen overnight.

That’s why they call it a process.

And.

Planting one seed at a time.

One day at a time!

Have you heard?

I wrote a book.

My first.

Titled: “How One Landscaping Bill Changed Everything!”

Available now on Amazon!

I cannot wait for you guys to read it!
