How can I get good service?

Be a good customer!

In my line of business.

As an Image Consulting and Personal Shopper.

I’m in the stores often.

And I deal with a variety of people.

On all different levels.

And a common subject I hear often is.

How do you get great customer service?

I shop a lot for myself as well.

And it got me thinking?

How DO YOU get great customer service?

So I have come up with.

Nine suggestions to get good customer service:

Smile!

I have said it a thousand times.

It makes you look nice.

It makes you look friendly.

It makes you look like someone.

Who someone would like to help.

So, I have BIG news to share!

I recently opened a shop on Amazon.

As many of my clients are still reluctant to go out shopping.

I decided to bring my favorite fashion finds to everyone.

Take a look:  https://www.amazon.com/shop/ninefrogs

Full disclosure, I make a commission.

New items added daily.

Thank you for shopping with NineFrogs!

Be a repeat customer.

Stores love repeat customers. 👈👈👈

Where do you get your morning coffee?

Chances are, they know your name.

Or at least know your face.

Do they look happy to see you when you walk in?

That’s good!

And if they don’t.

You need to change that asap!👈👈👈

I know from personal experience.

The place I frequent about three times a day.

My local 7-11.

Everyone who works there knows my name.

Or, at least my face.

There is always an exchange.

Of “good mornings” when I walk in.

It is always a pleasant experience.

I treat them with respect.

They give me excellent customer service.

That’s how it works.

Know the names of the sales people.

Where you do a lot of shopping.

People tend to be a lot nicer.

To you when you know their name.

And.

It’s also.

A sign of respect.

That’s something every shopper should do.“Which are you?” (2.26.2022)

It’s no secret.

That I have a special love for Michael Kors shoes.

So whenever I am in the market for new ones.

I go to my local Macy’s.

And see my favorite sales lady.

She knows I have a thing for Michael Kors shoes.

And she also gives me.

The best choices.

She knows what I like.

And what I don’t.

And of course.

Always hooks me up with a “special” coupon.

I walk away with a new pair of shoes.

She gets her commission.

We are both happy women.👈👈👈

Make a great first impression.

I know many of you won’t agree with me here.

Only, if you look nice.

Chances are.

You will get better customer service.

Plain and simple fact of life.

Take care of the people who take care of you.

I have become friends.

With the woman who is the manager.

Of the coffee shop I frequent.

A few years ago.

She commented that she loved my perfume.

That Christmas I bought her a bottle.

She was so grateful and happy.

And now I do it every year.

I’m happy that she’s happy.

It’s the little things.

Treat people with respect.

I have seen.

Far too many people.

Treat sales people.

Like crap.

Just remember.

You are not above anyone.

So, treat people as such.

True story:

A few years ago when Sandy hit.

We had no electricity.

And I had to shower at the gym.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t alone.

And there were a lot of other women there too.

The line to take a shower was long.

So there I am, standing in line.

When the female custodian pulled me aside.

And she told me to use.

The upstairs bathroom.

She said that there was no line.

I was so happy.

And beyond grateful.

After I came out of the shower.

I found her and thanked her again.

And do you know why?

She was so nice to me?

Because every time I saw her at the gym.

I always said HELLO to her by name!

Here’s another story!

I was in the Dollar Store one day.

It was around the holidays.

And it was packed.

I went to get on line.

And the lines were LONG.

But, what are you going to do?

So, I stood there, patiently waiting my turn.

When all of a sudden.

This woman taps me on the shoulder.

And says:  “follow me”.

And I did.

She took me to a register.

With no one at it.

So I started putting my stuff.

Up on the conveyor belt.

And she started ringing up my stuff.

Then all of a sudded.

Another customer came up behind me.

And went to put their stuff.

On the conveyor belt.

And she immediately looked at the person.

And said very loudly:  “Get back in line.

I’m just ringing up this nice lady.”

Now that’s awesome customer service!

Want to know my BIGGEST pet peeve?

When people don’t hand their money.

To the cashier.

You know?

They throw the money on the counter.

And make the cashier pick it up?

That absolutely makes me f*cking crazy!

I swear.

Whenever I see that.

I want to yell at that person.

And say:  “Are you so lazy you can’t hand it to the person?”

GRRRRR

I have a friend.

She’s from another country.

And she told me.

That from where she is from.

Money is looked upon as a blessing.

So if you throw the money down.

It means you are throwing away a blessing.

And who would want to do that?

No one.

Plus, it’s just plain rude.

So, for the love of God.

Please do not do it!

And last but not least, BE a good customer.

I have to say, 99% of the time I go shopping.

I have a great experience.

Why?

Because I am a great customer.

I smile.

I say hello.

I say please and thank you.

I use people’s names.

That’s the reason employees.

Wear name badges Becky.

So, use them.

I say things like:

Mary, could you please help me?

Janet, do you know where I could find _______?

Tom, would you be able to get something off the top shelf for me?

Bob, Is it possible to order this?

You get the idea?

Lastly, I bring good energy.

With me wherever I go.

Especially shopping.

And if you can’t be happy shopping.

You are in the wrong shop!
