“How can I get great customer service?” (9.19.18)

So I was thinking, Patricia Bokowski… I know you know that there’s the “you” that you know you are — adventurous, good-looking, and fun to be around.

And I know you know that there’s another part of “you” in the unseen who you’ve kind of temporarily forgotten — who completes you, loves you, and knows what’s really going on.

Well, how’d you like it if I removed the veils? Just for a second? Gave you a glimpse of who that special, divine, otherworldly essence is, so that you might at last begin to comprehend how extraordinary, sublime, and divine you really are?

Okay?

It’s me!

Want to know how you get great customer service?

Be a great customer?

Let’s face it, we ALL want great customer service!

As an Image Consultant &  Professional Personal Shopper, and, I’m in the stores often.

Did I mention I love to shop for myself and my family as well?

And I’m always watching and observing people and noticing how they behave in the stores.

In today’s blog, I’m sharing the good vs. the bad side of Customer Service!

Store I:

You know you’re a good customer when:

I was at the Dollar Store, on one of three long lines when all of a sudden someone tapped me on the shoulder and said, ‘follow me”.

And so I did.

One of the cashiers opened a line just for me.🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️

They don’t do that for everyone, they do that for people who are frequent customers.

GOOD, frequent customers!

Do more of that with your customers.

Think about it, whether your business is on-line or brick and mortar, who’s the first person your customers either see or talk too?

Because whoever that person is, that person is the face of your business!

Make sure they are representing you well!

And surprisingly, so many businesses are NOT doing that.

I’m sure I’m not alone when I say I cannot believe who a lot of business owners leave running THEIR stores?

Like, what are they thinking?

Story II:

I went to my local jewelry store (my guy) to have the latch on my recently purchases bracelet fixed.

He fixed it and charged me $5.00.

Two days later, the chain (which came with the bracelet) totally broke in half.

Had to bring it back to my jeweler and he put a whole new chain on it.

Didn’t charge me a penny.

Said he just wanted me to be happy!

Now that’s excellent customer service!

While I would have been happy if it hadn’t broken again, only it did.

So, back to the jeweler two more times to have that bracelet fixed (it was a really cheap bracelet, but I loved the design).

My jeweler basically reconstructed the whole bracelet and made it all sterling silver and replaced it with a real pearl.

I couldn’t have been happier!

Want to know what my biggest pet-peeve is with shoppers?

Whether it is 7-11, the deli or a high-end department store?

When people throw their money or your credit card at the cashier!!!

As someone who worked at TJMaxx for 3 1/2 years at the jewelry counter.

I can’t tell you how many times this happened to me.

And I hated it.

So now I tell other people, DON’T DO IT.

It’s so RUDE👈👈👈

My personal feeling, if you can’t hand your OWN money to the cashier, you don’t deserve to shop in their store!

JUST DON’T DO IT!

I recently had a very bad experience at a local spa.

So I did something I don’t normally do, I left a negative review on their page.

The following day I received a phone call apologizing for the bad experience with an off to remedy to the situation.

Don’t be afraid to complain if you receive bad customer service.

Trust me, in this day and age, no one wants bad press✔✔✔

Regarding my experience at the jewelry store (as noted above).

I told everyone I know that story.

That’s how impressed I was by his kind actions.

When what happens and you deliver the goods, people will talk about it and tell everyone they know

Similarly, same goes for bad customer service too, remember that!

And, people are more inclined to leave a bad review if they aren’t happy.

Rather then leave a good review because they are happy.

I am pretty sure I told EVERYONE I know about my bad experience at that spa.

I am a very good customer.

How do I know this you may ask?

Because for the most part, I receive very good customer service wherever I go!

That’s why I keep going back and shop at the same places, because they know I am a good customer, and treat me as such.

And if I go somewhere new, I see how they treat me.

If I receive good customer service I go back, and if it’s bad, I don’t!

That’s why it’s so important to treat every customer like a KING/QUEEN!

That really says it all. ☝☝☝

Everyone wants to feel important!

We all want to feel like we are being heard.

Each individual carries with them a lot of wants.

EVERYONE wants great customer service!

If you own a business, give it to them!!!
